Long Beach Camerata presents the first Front Porch Concert of the 2026 season. This concert series was started in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to bring people together through music and I am so happy to be part of the continuation of the series.

Every year four members of the Long Beach Camerata Singers perform at the annual Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the American Gold Star Manor here in Long Beach. Gold Star Manor is a retirement community for veterans and parents who’s children made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Camerata is incredibly lucky to call GSM our ‘rehearsal home’ and we perform there annually as a thank you for hosting us.

Today’s program is an extension of our memorial day repertoire performed by the four singers from the Lone Beach Camerata Carollers who performed at the Memorial Day Ceremony last week.

You will hear a variety of genres from solo classics, to folk music, to some more classical repertoire. As we come up on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the declaration of independence Camerata wanted to take some time to celebrate what makes this country great!
